PROGRAM + CURRICULUM DESIGN

LET’S IMAGINE + BUILD TOGETHER.

It’s a privilege to have nearly ten years experience in youth development work, supporting young people ages12-22 years old. Youth are brilliant, and inspire brilliance in those around them when treated with the respect, agency and care they deserve.

My work has ranged from launching extra-curricular projects to managing existing school-based programs. I have developed + facilitated half-day workshops, multi-day teacher trainings, six-week courses + year-long curricula for youth across the country.

Some of the work I’m most proud of has been for has been for organizations including StoryCorps, Sadie Nash Leadership Project, Carolina Youth Action Project + The Future Perfect Project. Check out below for ways we can collaborate.

TESTIMONIALS

Each time I have the opportunity to observe one of Lo’s courses, I am reminded of how deeply she believes in the power and potential of storytelling. I remember being moved to tears during an observation; Lo had created a space in which young women felt safe and supported enough to speak openly about their experiences with guilt and shame. Lo listened actively to each story and affirmed the courage it took for them to share. But, even more notably, watching the love and comfort the young women provided to each other during and after they contributed left me in awe. It was clear that by developing thoughtful, compassionate, and trusting relationships with each person in her class, Lo had taught them how to build those relationships with each other. I am always so grateful to Lo for modeling what integrity could and should look like for folks who work with young people.

I have come to know and respect Lauren’s attention to detail, patience, intellect, generosity and complete command of her craft of radical and attuned youth programming. She has worked diligently and purposefully to serve youth communities with heart and grit. She embodies the grace, humility and power that comes with a deep and abiding commitment to access, respect and dignity for all.
